Surgery Outcome

After beginning at 11:30 this morning, at 5:20 this afternoon the surgeon appeared in the waiting room to announce to us that Hannah came through the procedure in great fashion. He was very pleased with the way everything went. The "offending organ" was extracted and the new "connection" was fashioned. Was that stated with sufficient parental dignity? In speaking with Hannah just minutes ago, she can feel pain from her incisions, but she feels no abdominal pain now!!! When the surgeon asked her how she was doing, Hannah answered "Fine, but the question is, 'How did YOU do?'" Dr. A assured her that he had done very well! Going now to get Hannah settled in her room. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His love endures forever! Thanks for your faithful prayers and encouraging words along the way!

  1. Hi Hannah,

Your blog is so encouraging and God-honoring, in typical Hale fashion. I'd say you're a pretty good teacher, too, 'cause your mom did a great job on her entry! I wish you'd been here to teach me, however, as I didn't do such a hot job on my first attempt; so hopefully this one will work! :D

We're so glad everything went well today--the day seemed to drag on as we awaited news. You were definitely in our prayers. When I was in the hospital, I had a little picture of a soldier and 2 Tim 2:3 which I really liked. I just noticed verse one which seems fitting also--"Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. . . Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus."

You're a real trouper, Hannah, and it has been a blessing to read your thoughts. May God continue to pour His grace upon you, as you tell everyone you meet the reason for the hope that is in you!

    We're sending a package tomorrow.

    Much Love,

  2. Love you, love you, love you, dear one!
Looking forward to hearing the "Hannah version" of this adventure!

  3. We are praising God with you Hannah on the great outcome of a very succeessful surgery!! Now we will look forward to a smooth recovery and seeing what special plan God has for you! Take care and know you are being prayed for continually.
    In Christ's love,
Mrs. Hansen (for all of us)

  4. Hannah,

Testing, testing, am I on. We will see? I hope today is a great day for you and you are finding time to get the rest you need. Hope you are able to manage the pain. Good thing you know lots about the medical field to work in your favor for this. What a blessing that God has sent you a medical staff you have such confidence in. He has sent you many comforts for a situation that would cry out for them. Plus knowing He is your first and foremost healer comforter and protector in it all brings the greatest joy and comfort!

I was checking for an update and decided to stop by and say "Hi". If this does not post I will resort back to good ol' f/b.

Blessings to you Sweet One :D
